Everyone’s been asking if we’ve seen You Can See Everything. We haven’t. And also, you can’t. No one can. Some of us are better this way.

Most of what we’ve stocked lately is about people who’ve fought to be seen at all: trans women in Argentina who kept their own archive, eight men in Jamaica rehearsing in secret, a play about Fake Daddies and real daddies, and erotic cyanotypes. The new AFM is about what goes on inside. And then there’s a writer who decides how a famous actress is seen. Which reminds us, Halloween is Saturday. In Book World, it’s the one night a year you can dress up as someone else and nobody can call it autofiction.
