ANIMAL, Ash Fure’s debut album for Norway’s Smalltown Supersound (2025), examines the physicality of sound, focusing on psychoacoustic sub-bass pulses, semi-perceptible micro-rhythms and oceanic waves of noise. Linked to her experiences in Berlin and Detroit's techno dungeons, the sound bends to architecture and heat. Recorded live at LA’s EastWest studios on a custom instrument she built herself, ANIMAL exudes the muscular intensity of Fure’s full-bodied approach to sound.
